I just went for a run with my daughter wearing my old Garmin GPS watch, and we the mileage on my FitBit Blaze was over 1 mile off. I run daily, and this is a huge issue with me. Any ideas on how to fix this?

We first need to know which mode you used to track the run @LaChelleA
Did you have the phone with you and now see the path of your run in the even log?
If the answer is no, then it simply means Fitbit has the wrong stride for you.
The easiest way to set the stride is to let Fitbit calculate it by doing a few runs with the connected gps.
Let me know which is the case, put a "@" to tag me.

I set the fitbit to "run" and pressed start. I had my phone with me, and I just checked the log part of the app, the map is inaccurate. @Rich_Laue how do I make sure that the GPS is connected?
Thank you, btw, for taking the time to help me out! I just received this as a Christmas present and am unfortunately not the most tech savvy.

Hi @Rich_Laue so its been a week of daily runs, and even when I have had the app up on my phone and the GPS is connected there is at least a mile difference in all my runs. The map that the FitBit app is showing is the correct route, but when the same route is tracked on mapmyrun.com and through my Garmin, the distance is still really far off from my FitBit. (This means my pace is way off also). Any suggestions? I have also gone in and reset my stride to 0 and reset my FitBit prior to each run to make sure that it is connected.
