Hello everyone, yesterday morning my Blaze was working fine, it had logged my sleep and synced , I took it off to go to work as I didn't want it to get damaged when I got home in the afternoon the screen was black and unresponsive, the green led's had gone out on the back, I tried the left & bottom right button reboot but nothing happened. I wondered if the battery was dead ( I thought it was approx. 3/4 charged) when i put it on charge nothing happens, the screen stays blank.
I've only had it since Christmas, what should I try next?
Thanks in advance for any advice, Nick.

Hi, @NickJ78, I would plug the Blaze in to charge, as normal, even if it does not seem to be charging. Give it a good 2 hours charge (and remember that if you are using a computer/laptop to charge, in most cases it won't deliver charge unless the computer/laptop is awake and active).
Once it has had two hours charge, try the restart again. If it does not come to life, repeat the procedure twice more (a single restart does not always work). Hopefully it will come back to life again, but if not, your next step would be to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com. Be sure to tell them the trouble shooting steps you have already tried, as that will save time.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes. Welcome to the forums!

This is odd, I was going to say that still nothing had happened after charging for 3 hrs then trying the restart a couple of time putting it back on charge for another couple of hours and trying the restart another couple of times. I left it overnight then just about to post here, I thought I'd try the restart one more time and it came on but with a red very low battery indicator, and showing Fridays day & date and wrong time.
I've put it on to charge the logo came on for a few moments and the low battery but the screen has gone blank again, I'll leave it to charge and report back later.

Same happened to my Blaze this morning.
Fully charged, went running, came back and noticed screen blank and not connecting to phone etc.
Is this a software issue?

Hi, @NickJ78, are you sure that your Blaze is receiving charge? If you are using a computer or laptop, make sure that the computer does not go to sleep and, if possible, try a different port. I would say in this case it would be a good idea to try a wall charger, if you have not done so. Your cell phone charger, as long as it is UL/ CE certified should be fine.
@WeeMellon, this does not sound like a software issue to me. My advice to you re charging would be the same.

Hi, @NickJ78, my best guess is that the battery got super low. When Fitbit batteries are allowed to die completely, sometimes they become unresponsive and require a number of restarts before they come back to life.
I don't know what your charging routine is, but the best way to prolong the life of modern lithium ion type batteries (such as are in Fitbit) is to avoid deep discharges as much as possible. Little and often is ideal. Many people charge theirs for 15 or 20 minutes every day -- for example when they are in the shower. This can work very well.
Anyway, I am glad you got yours going, and hopefully it won't happen again!
