My Fitbit screen keeps going white

My Fitbit is completely brand new and the clock screen keeps going white. The touch screen works all fine it lets me swipe, but it keeps going white for a few minutes then goes back to normal, this has also happened to my mums one which is brand new. can someone please explain why this is happening.
