I went for a hike today and before I synced my watch I had 17097 steps. After i synced it ,it shown 17097 steps. But after it synced my activity(hike) it reduced to 15099. This happened to me yesterday as well after my walk. It deducted about 2000 steps.I think it has to do with the activities. But in my challenges such as workweek hustle it still had the 17097. Please help me on this as i had been only using my fitbit for only 4 weeks and i dont want to be experiencing issues. And it was only after I started tracking my activities with my phone in my pocket enabling the GPS.

is it because the phone is calculating the steps and there is a difference between the stride lengths between the fitbit and the phone
