Why doesn't Fitbit count the steps when I'm pushing a cart (like at a grocery store) or my suitcase through the airport. Can that be changed?

@KimberlyCarmel Unfortunately, most wrist worn trackers won't count very well when your wrist isn't moving at all. I'm the big nerd who walks around the grocery store pushing the cart with one hand as much as I can so my Blaze will count all my steps. You can also put it in your pocket while you're pushing the cart to make it more accurate.

If I hook it to my purse strap, will it still count steps? I don't usually have a pocket.

@KimberlyCarmel I've never tried it. Do you have anywhere on your trunk you could attach it? I used to clip my One to my bra.

Try clipping it to your belt loop. It should work.

It might not capture all the steps because the arm is not moving freely, but with the latest firmware, sliding the watch a little up the wrist gives me 90+steps for 100 I take.
