Not counting steps for the day without manually syncing

I have had my blaze for about 8 months now and I love it.  I haven't had any issues until the last 2 months.  After one of the updates, each morning when I turn my Blaze on, it will not begin counting steps for today unless I open the app on my phone and manually sync it.  I noticed instead of counting the steps towards today, it will tack them onto yesterday's step count.  For example:  I ended yesterday with 10,250 steps.  I turned my fitbit on and put it on my wrist began my day today, opened the app and realized none of my steps were counted so far, instead they were added to yesterday and my total now for yesterday's steps was bumped up to 10,800 and 0 steps for today had been recorded.  Why is this happening all of the sudden?  I never had to manually sync through the app every morning before the Blaze would start tracking my steps for the day.  It's very frustrating considering I don't always remember to sync first thing in the morning before beginning my day.

With the latest update, when you turn your watch off, the time on the watch stays at the time you shut it down.   So, when you turn your watch on it will have clock time at when you turned off. That is why your steps show up as the day before.  So, when you re-sync the watch it will log your steps on the old time and then will correct the time on the watch.   I would suggest just setting your heart rate too auto, and not turning your watch off at night; it will use very little battery, and you will not have the sync issue, or at least try this method for a couple of days to see how you like it.
