Not receiving notifications from LG G6 phone

A few months ago, I stopped receiving notifications on my Blaze.  I have tried the online help and Fitbit support has reset everything.  These "fixes" only last for a couple hours at the most.

I have a LG6 phone, which I understand it not listed as a compatible device; however, this phone worked with my Blaze for over a year with no issues.  I thought it might be my phone, but my mom began having the same problem with her Blaze and has an iPhone.

My Blaze is about 18 months old.  Is my Blaze at the end of its life?  My phone?  I'm considering getting another fitbit, but worried I will have the same issues.  Anybody else?

Hi there @erinnitka, welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear you're having problems getting notifications on your Fitbit Blaze. Now, as you mentioned, the LG G6 is not in the list of compatible devices and I understand that it has been working for all this time but since our team has not added the phone to the list of compatible devices, this means that we can't guarantee the optimum functionality of the tracker and its features with your phone.

If your mom is having similar issues, we'd need to check and see what is going on. Most likely the causes are different since this is a supported device.

In the meantime, I can recommend removing your Blaze from the Bluetooth connected devices on your phone. For this, go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone. On your connected devices, look for your tracker. Tap on it, then choose the option that says "Forget this device". Reboot the Bluetooth on your phone and then, you can try to set it up as a new device.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps. Anything else you may need, I'm here to help!

I have done this several times and it works, but only for a short period of time.

Thanks for getting back @erinnitka!

In that situation, I think the only other recommendation I can offer would be to sync your tracker using a phone that is compatible to ensure that all features will work without a problem. As I explained on my post before, you might be able to sync with non compatible phones but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum.

Thanks a lot for the comprehension. If you need anything else, let me know!
