Not receiving notifications

I've always been able to get notifications from my preferred smartphone apps, but a couple months ago, I stopped getting them from all but my calendar and phonecalls. Texts, and notifications from 2 work related apps aren't coming through anymore. I've looked under settings, and it's still set for them to give me notifications. I've unclicked them, reclicked them, unpaired and repaired my device, power cycled my device, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. App is excluded from power saving rules. Still not getting most notifications. (Still get Google calendar notifications and phonecall.)  The main "smartwatch" feature I want is these notifications. Help?

Hello @cgolden, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using to sync your Fitbit? Also, when was the first time you experienced this?

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Blaze are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted.

@cgolden

I had the same problems with my Samsung S5 the last few months.

Solution for me was to turn off Bluetooth Classic on the Blaze and unpair that from the phone only using standard Bluetooth pairing with the phone and Blaze.

That sped up syncing and call notifications and got the 3rd party app notifications working again.

Messages notifications were solved by unselecting message notifications and adding them to the App notifications list.
