Not syncing to phone

My Fitbit looks like its working everyday but nothing is syncing on my phone. The past few days look like I just haven't been wearing it. The app is updated, it has a hard time finding the divice. Both are fully charged and right next to each other. Any help would be welcome and appreciated. Thank you!

I have a Blaze watch which has been working perfectly with my One Plus 5 smartphone. Since a recent system update to Android Oreo yesterday(8.1.0) I can no longer get notifications from my phone on to the Blaze.

The Fitbit app was working fine and syncs to my Blaze regularly prior to update, but now it always shows up error on my slider screen saying "Fit bit cannot forward Android notifications to your tracker. Restart your phone to continue getting notifications on your tracker".

I have restarted the phone more times than I can count, I have reset the Blaze many times, I have switched on and off notifications in both the Fitbit app settings and my phone settings. I know I'm using the latest version of the Fitbit app, but now I can't think of anything else to try. I have also gone through the Help Article of the site and tried every step mentioned out there but still its not working.

 

Please suggest!!
