Not waterproof, broke twice. TERRIBLE customer service

I’ve been a loyal Fitbit user since 2015. For the past 3 years I’ve been using Fitbit Blaze since I like it a lot. Unfortunately and despite what they say it’s NOT waterproof. It’s happened twice now that a tiny splash of water broke the device. First time it happened I bought a new one no questions asked since I liked it a lot and didn’t want to wait. But the second time I email them asking for a refund or a repair. They told me they were not able to provide me with a new one but offered me the Ionic model instead. Unfortunately the Ionic it’s too big for me to be wearing it everyday so I asked for another Blaze, a refund or the Versa model instead which is actually cheaper than the Ionic.

Nothing, no reply for the last 10 days despite my 4 emails. Terrible customer service. Told them I was training, needed to replace it ASAP and wanted to continuo using Fitbit since I got all other gadgets like the Aria scale which are not gonna sync until I get a new device... death silence... they’ve not bothered to send me anything or reply to any of my 4 emails.

i am truly disappointed and passed from buying and recommending tons of Fitbit things in my blog to advising followers to chose other brands.

it’s no way to treat anyone!!

I'm not sure where you heard otherwise but fitbit don't claim the Blaze is waterproof. Some are, but not the Blaze as described in: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1598/

It said so on the website and also customer services ensured me it was waterproof 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:

I own the Blaze, and it is water resistant, definitely not waterproof. I have never seen anything on Fitbit that has ever claimed the Blaze was waterproof.
