I have upgraded to a Blaze. I am in process of switching providers and in looking at the smartphones they have to offer nothing is compatible with Fitbit unless you go with Apple or Samsung G6 or older.
I am testing a G7 edge and have my Blaze paired but it won't sync and I am not overly fond of the G7 Edge and don't want to keep Apple. None of the LGs, HTCs or Motorolas offered have compatible devices.
So frustrating that you have to go to older generation phones to get your Fitbits to work. I use mostly the phone app and not the computer so that isn't an option for me. I want it to sync thru out the day and not just at the end of the night if I happen to be around a computer.
Ideas on when new phones will be compatible. And some of these phones have been out quite a while.
HTC 10, LG G5 or V10, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2

When you ask about, "Is a phone compatable"? Do you want to know when it will get on the approved list? This will happen after the phone is thoroughly tested.. With any operating system that might be on it, plus they want to know and test every feature, looking for any unwanted interaction with other apps.
As for will it work, do a a earch of these forums and your phones model.. Many of the newer models have been found to work for many.
As for a timeline- it is what it is.

It's not even a matter if it gets on the approved list. I just want to get a phone from my provider that works with my Fitbit. I have been reading thru the forums and the Fitbit works for some on these phones and for others it doesn't so I haven't gotten much useful information. Many folks are saying the Galaxy 7 Edge and the Blaze work great and others are saying not so much. Mine is the not so much. I can't keep switching phones every couple of days until I find one that works, plus I want to be able to use the $200 fitbit I just purchased.

Hello,
I'm in Europe and have the same problem: I want to choose new phone which will work with my Fitbit Blaze (I already have Fitbit Blaze, but still don't have the phone compatible with this device (my old Samsung Galaxy S2 is not compatible))
I want to buy new phone, but before I must be sure that it will work with my Fitbit Blaze.
As I see in the compatible devices list there are only Apple 6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 series phones is comaptible. But I don't want to by any of them.
Now I'm choosing between Huawei P9 and LG G5 (one of the option is Samsung Galaxy S7 too)
As I see no one of these newer devices is not in the compatible devices list.
FitBit supprot, please tell for me: will FitBit Blaze work with Huawei P9 or LG G5?
(Iwant to note: I can't return the phone if I'll by it and see that it's not comtatible with my FitBit Blaze)

Hello,
As you know, I can't wait until FitBit finish testing process. (I think most of all progressive users of FitBit devices can't wait 2 or 3 months (or more) when they want to change old not compatible phone to new phone)
Good news (for me) is: all functions of FitBit Blaze works with Huawei P9 (with standard Android system of this phone). I'm using these functions with my Huawei P9 since 01.08.2016.
I'm not using so many apps (almost basic apps of the phone (Android)).
I have some problems with FitBit app (this app worked too slowly in the process of eaten food (and calories) tracking). But with last fix of FitBit app this problem was solved, as I see now.
Also all messages (SMS, reminders, gmail) tracking and music tracking works too.
Sometimes I still have some problems with connection to my phone playlist from my Blaze, but steps of instruction "How to connect to playlist" repeat always helps (sometimes it's a litlle bit sad, that for music tracking repeat of instrukcion is needed, but it's not needed every time when I want to start/stop music play from FitBit))
Thank you for trying to help. But it seems that FitBit must be farster with tests and including of new devices in "Compatible device list".

@paankaduI'm using a Sony Xperia XP without any issues. It is not on the Fitbit compatibility list. That was on Android V6.0.1 and has worked without any issues for 3 months.
Yesterday the System Software was updated to Android V7.0, Build Level39.2.A.0.327 and everything is still working with Fitbit.

I have had the Samsung gear two, and tried it on my iPhone SE. Which was not fully compatible even though they advertise it to be so . May I suggest that you have an android phone try that one.

I just bought the blaze about a month ago, and I'm using it on the iPhone SE. Which one do you prefer the android or the iPhone?
