Since the Bluetooth range on the blaze is very poor, would it be possible for an option to be added to the settings menu which would allow us to have a warning when the phone is not in range.

This would not be something a Fitbit user would be able to setup.
Im not sure what y9ur definition of poor is, i find my tracker syncs very nicely at 50 feet which is not bad considering that the Bluetooth standard is a maximum of 30 feet.

The specs on the blaze say 6.1m which is just over 20feet, the standard for BLE is 100m (clear field) so not sure where you are getting your data from.
Poor is it will not connect to my phone and give notifications if the phone is in the dining room and I am in the kitchen some 10feet away.
