Just had to change to 1.3 and reboot phone. Worked like a champ. Thank you!

Solved
Do the following steps : It will work
1) Go to developer options ( Settings - System- Developers Options)* If Developer option is not visible... google how to enable Developer Options
2) Scroll to Bluetooth AVRCP Version - Change it to AVRCP 1.3
3) Delete Fitbit if already added . On safer side delete it from bluetooth also.
4) Restart your phone
5) Retry linking your phone with Fitbit band. .... It will work
