Looking into getting the Blaze:

 

1) Do I have to run with my phone to get the map GPS downloaded?

2) Is there a way to set up intervals?

@malcarda Yes you will need the phone to get a map, the Surge currently is the only one with built in GPS.

As for intervals, no the Charge 2 does.

My suggestion is to go to the Feature request forum do a search, i know this has been suggested and is waiting for your vote.
