Re: Frustrated due to poor instructions

I'm having the same issue - seeing "fitbit.com/setup" - and having no instructions to go on, to get to actual functions.  Really frustrated at this point!  Mine may well be going back too ....with me going back to Polar.

@runForest I've moved your post, to its own thread, so we don't hijack the other thread. Please click on the link provided in the email of my response.

Fitbit.com/setup is the page that has the link to the files needed to setup your phone or computer.

I already gave the link to the manual, by now you should have a copy. Next please watch the Blaze101

Anther helpful site is Fotbits YouTube Channel. Thos can also be found by clicking on tje YouTube icon below.

It would be much appreciated if we knew if your setting the Blaze up with a phone or computer, amd what operating system that it is running.

I'm not able to do anything because the device isn't yet "paired" with my computer/dashboard; and, I can't get "fitbit.com/setup" off the device.  (??)

And you have no compatable Phone? This would be the best way, since several of the functions on the Blaze requires a phone.

For Windows 7, while some say that they got the Blaze to setup through the Charging cable and Fitbit Connect Software, Fitbit says you will need a Bluetooth Dongle.

If you know anybody with a Fitbit, chances are they have one or more dongles, that can be begged or borrowed.

Or contact fitbit.

I tried (for too long) to set it up on my cell phone this morning, with the assistance of a fitbit rep on my landline. I loaded the app twice and, when attempting to open, still got the message that the program had to be updated before it would open. A dongle, free of charge, is being sent from the company to try my computer again. Will see how that goes, but I'm not willing to put much more time into it. I'd rather drive the 2 hours to Spokane to return it to REI. Frankly, I am disappointed that using the device as a stand-alone (i.e. ready to go out of the box) isn't an option. I really wasn't looking for an excuse to spend more time on my computer or phone!
