Just saw that the new Fitbit Alta has a "remind to move" feature. What are the chances of this being added to the Blaze? I feel like it would be an awesome addition!

Do we have any idea when this will be added. I'm tempted to buy the blaze but I don't want to wait 6 months for move reminders.
@Boole Honestly I am not hopeful of timing here. Originally it was said something along the idea that it would be added soon after the Alta came out but there is no ETA at all. So, it could be quite some time (or not).

It was not in the most recent firmware upgrade so you will have to at least wait for the next one, I am not sure how long that will be.

If you haven't already do a search on the feature request board and upvote it if someone has requested it, if not put in a feature request so others can upvote it.. That is the best place to try to get features added.

This is most popular feature request in health\fitness watch and on blaze forum. I am suprise fitbit is taking this long to get this feature out in market.
Give they already have this feature on Alta, it seems easy to port it over to blaze. Can fitbit provide any justification to this delay in getting this feature on Blaze???

Still waiting... Almost 3 months later
Its been a lot longer than three months. It was something that was suggested over a year ago.

Shouldn't the reminders to move be an easy update since you already have it on the Alta? I feel like this should have been out when the last firmware update was released. Any ETA??

Do you have a date in mind for the Blaze? I am dying for this feature! 🙂

If they do add it, they will wait for the Alta to lose its steam. That is a selling point for the device that isn't offered on the Blaze (yet).

Why is the reminder to move not available in the Fitbit Blaze?

@ndones24 Our initial firmware updates for Blaze have focused on stability and bug fixes. We're working hard to eventually bring new features in future firmware updates, which will include Reminders to Move. There's no exact date as of now, but stay tuned!

When a question is marked solved by the original poster, it is probably that they feel currently this answer is the best course of action to take, or is simply the best answer for them. At least it has been answered to their satisfaction, maybe not yours.
Since right now there is no setting that can be changed to receive this option. I do see that the accepted post clearly states that this feature is planned to be included in a future update. I would assume this will happen after all the kinks and testing have been worked out.
Each tracker has different software, so it's not just a case of copying code from the Alta.
As for as we've herd the user, this option for step reminder on the Blaze was announced in these forums before the Alta was even released, even before this thread started.
No amount of posts here are votes will speed up the process, Fitbit has a set process for testing and troubleshooting updates.

It's hysterical to me that the original question about this feature is listed as "solved!" Apparently the solution is "yeah, we heard you, we'll get to it someday." It one thing to blow off customer requests. Sometimes that's just business. But solved? No.
Like Rich mentioned, it is "solved" because the response was give. The Blaze was never advertised with a remonder to move, so there really was never a problem. This was a hope and request, not a product problem. If the OP marked it as solved it was good-enough for her.
