Why wont Fitbit respond to all the multiple submissions across many models and devices that fitbit devices WILL NOT RECEIVE Ring Doorbel notifications.
All the submissions talk about setting/re-setting, updating, deleting, re-installing..... AND getting information from Ring Doorbell that the problem lies with Fitbit. Everyone's compatible phones and devices are receiving just about all notifications EXCEPT Ring Doorbell.
They need to stop sending automated generic fix replies and actually fix this ongoing problem, and at least "man-up", admit there is a significant problem and try to give us an estimated fix date.
This ongoing problem will greatly influence whether or not my next fitness tracker will be a Fitbit or something else!

There also isnt a suggestion for this option.
I forget if the Blaze has the option to choose any app on the phone to receive notifications. If it does, then your set.
@DPA67 your title is about a specific notificstion and your getting upset at a fellow Fitbit user for something that you feel Fitbit should be addressing.
Follow the threads and you will notice that Fitbit has been addressing the notification problem.
Most iOS users have discovered that the answer is in their settings. Yes after software and phone updated this is a typical problem for android users. The OS likes to revoke access, the answer is to fix the permissions. This is the way Android works.

Wendy, Ring Doorbell is a WiFi video doorbell which sends notifications to your phone of motion detection and actual ringing of your doorbell - allowing two way video chat to your door remotely. Many Fitbits and phones allow this notification to be sent. If you read the multitude of complaints about notification failure (especially after software updates), you will see that Fitbit is failing to fix this ongoing issue.

Thanks Rich, I appreciate your feedback and apologize if you feel I was upset at fellow Fitbiters. I definitely wasn't - just trying to specifically relay the problem so she understood my enquiry. It's difficult not to get frustrated with Fitbit's responses, especially if they are clearly autogenerated. As an example, while trying to get a response from Fitbit,I I received a bizarre automated response about a "continuous vibration problem" - nothing to do with notifications. I assure you I have read and researched multiple Fitbit threads as well as general internet blogs, all to no avail.

I completely agree i have had this issue for at least 2 years, have had nothing but problems getting any help with this issue and get passed from fitbit saying its a ring issue to even fitbit telling me it has never allowed ring notifications???? To then ring telling me its a fitbit issue?? Still no results! Will be upgrading my smart watch soon but WILL NOT BE A FITBIT PRODUCT which is a shame as love me fitbit loss of customer for the sake of such a small and ridiculous long time???

@Mnoad it has been at least 3 years since the Blaze has been sold. Do you have a Blaze?

Hey Rich, as you point out, it has been years since I posted this issue (without resolution). I am still using my Blaze (happy with Blaze), but as the other contributor noted, Fitbit has not fixed this problem. I am in the market for an upgrade. Can you (or others) let me know if any of the current model Fitbits will actually give ring doorbell notifications, or will I have to reluctantly go to another platform?

With the newer trackers this is possible because they have a section to choose up to 100 apps that are loaded on the phone.
What this post is really asking is for the ability to choose more apps. Than the basic 3. It really is not only about the ring.
This board is designed to get help from your fellow Fitbit users. I do not see any suggestions for this.

Thanks Rich. So, just to be sure, to the best of your knowledge, current model Fitbit trackers will get notifications from my phone from the Ring doorbell app ?

@DPA67 I don't have a Ring to try, but here's where someone said it works on their Versa. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Versa-Smartwatches/Ring-Doorbell/m-p/2671847#M11823

Thanks Mark. I have tried the same process with my Blaze to no avail. The list of apps is there, and I select Ring - but unfortunately doesn't send to watch (all other notifications work). Sounds like hopefully this has now been addressed - at least with Versa!
Just wish Fitbit would have a list of devices guaranteed to work with Ring doorbell 😐
