I have the most up to date app and my iphone is up to date as well. Yesterday, my sleep stages tracked, but last night it did not. I've restared the Fitbit, the phone, installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Nothing worked. Any idea how to fix?

Mine has worked flawlessly for just over a week and has suddenly stopped. I really hope that this is just a temporary thing and all of the fuss gets sorted out. I have another app on my phone I use for sleep tracking, and I like to see how the two compare.

I have a blaze and an iPhone 6s. My sleep stages had not worked until Monday night. Then on Tuesday it stopped working again, so only 1 night it worked. It has nothing to do with the recharge as the last time I fully charged mine was Saturday so it was at a partial charge both Monday and Tuesday night.

I intentionally did not charge my Fitbit yesterday, and it went from sleep stages to regular tracking... so I am not sure it's charging it that is affecting it.

I don't think charging is affecting it either. Mine worked fine until last night and I hadn't charged my Blaze until this morning. It was still charged half way. I suspect it's a glitch of some sort.

I just got a new FitBit Blaze a couple days ago, and the sleep stages have not worked on mine at all, no matter what I've done so far. I'm emailing customer service today.

I have the charge 2 and I got the sleep stages for a week and then today, back to the old way. I did notice that when I was awake in the nite for an hour or more the 2nd amount of sleep was only recorded the old way except for the first time I got "stages". After that stages in first part of the night and regular tracking in the second, and now no stages at all!

I received my Blaze one week ago today. Did the update as part of the firmware update as part of the initial setup. Had a couple hickups that Support helped me work thru, but the sleep stages worked every night from the get go. Until last night, that is.
I contacted support, and the reaction I got sounded like it was a new problem. Not something that has been going on for over a week now, and certainly not as widespread as what I'm seeing here.
I've charged my Blaze 3 times, and did not have any problem with sleep stages until last night. I have also uninstalled and re-installed the app to solve the other problems that I referred to above, and the sleep stages continued to work till last night.
Support wanted to see what it does tonight, and let them know if it worked or not. So as someone else has suggested, let them know if it isn't working.

Ok charged my blaze yesterday and my sleep stages are back apart from Tuesday night is it a power issue ?

It is still not working.

So I again turned my Blaze off and on again, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I also just went to sleep instead of telling the app I was going to sleep. The stages worked last night. If it's a matter of not tapping the 'start sleep now' in the top right, totally fine, I don't mind. If it's a matter of having to uninstall and reinstall every night, that's a little ridiculous..

I wore mine tighter last night, like they say to do for exercise, and it worked for the first time in days. Maybe it needs more continuous heart rate monitoring? I will try again tonight, but I'd love it if someone else tried too.

So sleep stages worked for 8 days, reverted back to the old format for one night, and it's back to sleep stages again today. I didn't do anything different.
I find the dashboard to be very glitch in general since this latest update. Most times when I sync in the morning, once it's finished syncing, the only data that updates is the steps, calories etc across the top but none of my other tiles (sleep, days active, weight, resting heart rate etc) have anything in them. They are blank unless I click on them. The sleep one for example, it usually doesn't show the day's sleep data. It doesn't update with the sync. Today it took 3 times syncing before there was any data in there for last night. I was starting to think it wasn't going to log any data for last night at all. Then the fourth time I looked, there was the new sleep stages format.
Obviously some serious bugs to work out on their end. And I really miss the TIME feature, being able to tap the graph to see the exact time. Hope they bring that back.

Wore my Blaze a little tighter last night. Didn't do anything else different. My sleep stages came back.
I can't imagine that this anything but a software issue that Fitbit needs to sort out.

Ok, did nothing different, but when I first opened the sleep part of the app this morning it showed my sleep as just under 2 hours and was the old format. I knew that wasn't right, I had slept well. A few minutes later when I went in again it updated again and showed almost 7 hours and showed "stages" but started at 12:01 am. I know I was asleep before that, but glad it is back to stages!

Customer service told me to make sure the all day sync option was on, and that, since I only use my iPad at night, and do not carry it around during the day, to start syncing to my phone, where I can have it syncing all day (although, there are times my phone is off during the day, as well, so I'm not sure if that really makes a difference or not). I also wore my tracker up a little higher and a little tighter, like they say you should do for exercise. Last night was the first time I got stages! I'm not sure if it was because of one of those things I did or not, but hopefully it will keep working, and that it's not just a fluke. Ironically, last night was my worst sleeping night of the last 3. Either way, it seems like there are definitely some bugs to get worked out with this feature.

I don't think the all day sync and syncing to phone makes a difference, at least in my case. I already have all day sync on- however, I don't wear the blaze all day anyway (I have an Apple Watch and a Garmin Fenix 3) because I alternate between devices. I do however, wear my flex 2 all day around my ankle. It doesn't update all day either- only when I physically am in the app and refresh it. It is *set* to sync all day to my phone, but doesn't.

Yeah, I also noticed this morning on mine, that it did not look like it synced, until I opened the app on my phone. It's not really convenient to leave my phone on all night, because of needing to charge the battery and all, so I will probably try it with just the iPad again tonight, and see what happens. I'll still wear my tracker like they suggest for exercise, though.

I was so excited when I saw this update. I have been bummed though. Mine has not shown the sleep stages at all. Mine always says No stages.
