Smart Track detecting Elliptical when walking

Hello,

I've had a consistent problem with my Blaze...when I'm out for a walk, SmartTrack detects I'm on an elliptical. I'm very confused that it keeps doing this because I'm outside walking, and not staying in one spot. I think one way to avoid this problem would be to active a "walk" in the exercise options but only running is listed. Can anyone help? Am I doing something wrong? Or is my blaze defective?

Thanks in advance!

Good morning @melissafrommn it must be something with the way the arms are moving.

There are two things you can do.

Through the app, tap track your exercise - click the settings gear at the top - turn off elyptical

Yes there is a walk, it just needs to be added to the Blaze.

Go to your settings - devices - Blaze - Exercise Shortcuts. Add the ones you want remove what you don't,  now do a sync.

See the help doc on the exercise mode. This and a lot more info, including the Blaze101 and manual,  may be found in the online interactive help guide, through the link to  Help below.

You can "ignor" the types of exercises you don't do in "SmartTrack" by going into Exercise Goals in the app and selecting "ignor".

You can also add "Walk" for an exercise by going into the exercise shortcuts in the app and adding/removing the typs of exercises you do.

Thank you very much. I somehow missed the walk feature on the list of exercises. I even looked a couple time!

I turned off the elliptical SmartTrack. I'm just a little worried that it was doing that but I'll just have to live with it. Thanks again!

Turning off the unwanted smart tracking options will increase the battery life.

Thanks, this also helped me with my query. My walk today was tracked as an eliptical workout which baffled me. I only really walk and will eventually run so have turned off all other activity tracking now.
