Smart track - general question re distance

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
When I rely on the fitbit autorecognising my activity, for example a walk, it gives me the duration, time, HR info etc but no distance. I have re-categorised the activity to confirm it was a walk but still no distance. However, if I manually start an activity (with or without connected GPS) I then get distance, either based on GPS or stride length. Is there a way for smartrack to also show the distance? This would really help when looking at the summary graph for distance, as those smartracked activities don't show up so total distance per week etc is inaccurate.

Obviously this isn't purely related to BLaze but also affects Charge / 2 / HR etc.

Am I missing something?

Thanks, Melanie

I have noticed the same and it's a very odd ommission on Fitbit's part. I tried to recategorize the automatically recorded activites with no change. The distance is still recorded as N/A. Technically, I could figure out the estimated distance based on my step count, but there's no way for me to manually enter that data either.

I'm not sure why but earlier this year, Fitbit removed miles reporting from auto recognized events.. What you experience is normal for now.

That is such a shame! Makes it much harder to see total miles per week /
month now.

This doesn't affect the total daily miles that are based on the daily step count.. I'm not sure if it factors in the gps miles.
