Smart track on Blaze not identifying exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
My blaze is not identifying exercise automatically. I've tried resetting the tracker and logging out of the app and still nothing. It's recorded active minutes but not provided the detailed information on the track exercise log. I don't want to manually log exercise as this adjusts steps and calories. What other options do I have other than to give up on Fitbit and buy a different makers tracker?

I'm wondering what type of exercise are we referring to, and are you going long enough.
Check your settings by clicking the track your exercise, then click the settings hear in the top right. Check the minimum time messed and that your exercise is enabled.

But why don't you want to use the exercising mode that is founded on the Blaze?

I did 55 minutes of cardio exercise (aerobic workout). My blaze has always automatically tracked this before and is set up to recognise after 15 minutes. There was a software update a couple of days ago and since then it's not auto-tracking exercise.

Hello @Atlkajub welcome to the Fitbit Community! it's great to have you here 🙂 The activity recorded with SmartTrack will show up on your activity log after you sync your tracker.  If the activity is not showing on  your account I would recommend to restart your Blaze and test it.

Let me know if this helps! Woman Very Happy

My blaze no longer auto tracks my workouts (60min kickboxing) it tracks the steps and the calorie burn but it no longer logs it as exercise. I've tried restarting device closing app ect. Still does not auto log since last update.

I'm having the same problem.  Blaze has been sporadic logging exercise.  I logs my steps, time, miles, steps just fine.   I've tried restarting the Blaze,  did not help

I am having the same issue. My blaze is usually good at tracking my workouts, however it still has not logged a workout I completed on Monday. It was well over the 30min goal and for some reason will not sync to the app. I have tried logging out of the app and resetting my blaze but nothing has worked

May I ask what type of exercise where you doing and what type of exercise is it usually reported as?

Best Answer

I was doing a mix of weights and cardio. It usually comes in as either an aerobic workout or weights and a walk/run

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @sfernandocole, let me give you a warm Welcome to our Community. Thank you for restart your Blaze.

Many thanks for your assistance @Rich_Laue

There are several ways to track your workouts and activities with your Fitbit device. I would like to know how do you do exactly. Is it with the Exercise App or SmartTrack?

Note that trying with more than one way could make you lost some data.

I'll be looking forward to your new comments!Cat Happy

So typically it will track if automatically because of the active minutes and heart rate. But it has stopped doing that. Whenever I select weights within the blaze it does track it, but if I take a walk after lately it has not been tracking it even though it usually does. I have also tried manually entering the workouts but then it adds active minutes to my day which is not correct

Like weights @sfernandocole have you tried using the manual mode see called walk?

How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Best Answer

Well no because 1) I’m usually on a treadmill and 2) historically whether I’m on a treadmill or outside my Fitbit always tracks it. And now suddenly it’s not

treadmill is not an auto detectable exercise, and without manually starting it should not be tracked, if it is being tracked as some type of exercise, other than treadmill, there may be an issue with the Blaze and I suggest a restart it a power off/on.

Best Answer

Okay... it has tracked it in the past  🤔 so  I think it does auto track it as exercise. And there’s been no issue with my blaze till now. So thank you anyways.

True @sfernandocole  I want trying to be helpful, but to get an answer that could be helpful in figuring out what is happening.

You say the Blaze would auto detect a treadmill run, every though it's had no logic to do this. Did the restart of the Blaze h lp?

Best Answer

Right. It would auto detect the treadmill as a walk or run, I believe due to my heart rate. It all counted towards active minutes as well. And what's happening now is it will track my active minutes but doesn't classify/log it as a work out.

The restart did not help.
