Spinning and steps

I find it interesting that when I do an intense spin class for 45 minutes that the steps that it equates to is very low.  So I go for a 45 min walk and get about 5K-6K in steps, but for the high intensity spin class the steps only equate to about 1K-2K.  Seems silly but at the end of the day I will not have hit my goal, but makes no sense as the spin class was a more challenging workout.  Is there anyway to equate a greater number of steps for such a High Intensity work out?

Hello @FlyEagles while spinning, your arms are basicly motionless, your tracker is looking at arm motions. Also while spinning your not stepping.
