Stair Climbing Inaccuracy

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm up to date with present firmware for my Blaze.
Right now its typical for Fitbit to indicate I'm climbing between 50 to 100 stairs/day.
So Inaccurate its not funny.  In reality I may climb 2 - 4 stair flights per day.

Huh, that's pretty strange @Rexgtr... This happens sometimes when you're exposed to AC at the room you're in or controlled environment rooms.

If that wouldn't be the case, I can recommend restarting your tracker and see if that makes any difference. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Try it out after that and let me know how it goes. Welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

So here's the thing, I've been updating the Fitbit app on my iPhone, last update when Stair Climbing Inaccuracy started was on Sunday July 23 2017. No AC, no cold boots (Didn't rectify)
So basically something borked on Fitbits update.

So the only solution I can see is a Fitbit update. Whether updating the watch or the iPhone app.

Blaze has me climbing 60 to over 100 stairs per day. 20 is probably more accurate. How do I fix? Tried holding left and right buttons in and restarting, didn't work

Personally, i would love if the altimeters where removed. The only thing Fitbit does with this data is to display it. Stair counts are not used for any other calculations.

Yes they work great when they work.

As for fixing, the main option is a restsrt of the tracker. The other option would be to set tye tracker up as a replacement device.

OK, when I posted earlier I didn't know there was an update, I've applied that and so far it seems improved.  Won't really know until I actually climb stairs.  Thanks.

on the walking route i take there's a double flight of stairs going up the side of a building....the first fight 12 steps, a 6'x6' platform then 13 steps to a door with access to the movie theater.  Consistently FITBIT inaccurately measures these steps.  If i go up the 12 steps, it counts 1 set of stairs; if I go up the next 13, it doesn't increment a 2nd flight.  If i go up and down the upper set of 13 steps it won't count them.  If i go bottom to top it counts 1 flight of stairs, but if i got up 1/2 way, turn back and retur it counts 2.  Attempted sending a picture of them but was denied.

Drew I do about maybe 10 flights a day. It gives me hundreds. I’ve won a lot of stair badges I don’t deserve. Everything else seems accurate but I don’t know how to fix this.
