I am a new fitbitter and I use the step climber at the gym at a high level of 12 or more for 30 minutes. It logs as only one floor and 3/4 of a mile when the climber says 18 floors. I'm kinda bummed as this is what I do all the time

@Crosbyfir welcome to the comunity.. Your Fitbit has an Skye meter to measure stairs climbed, this should it count steps? This requires your Fitbit to physically gain altitude. As you physically climb up a stairway the air pressure gets lower, this is what Fitbit is looking for. Let's go to the help document.

As for Spinning? Are you really walking, should it count steps? Your tracker is on your arm and looking at arm motions, without the arm moving not many steps will be recorded.. Your Blaze does have a Spinning mode, let's go back to the help documents. Using this mode will give a more relistic calorie burn.

Any other questions please don't hesitate.

I had the same issue over the weekend.  I wasn't working out but at a car event.  It was in a flat parking lot and by the time I was done it said I went up five flights of stairs.

Might have been a little breeze.  The temp was well into the 90s.

If it really bothers you you can add a driving record to get rid of them

Fitbit does not give extra calories burnt for stairs, if that is what concerns you

I hiked 7 miles today and according to the trail maps, the trails I climbed approx 97'. My Blaze read that I climbed 0 floors. It hasn't tracked my floors since the first week I got it. Hoping there is a fix to this issue. Pretty frustrated at the moment.

I actually just looked. It hasn't tracked floors since 6/24. Not sure if there was an update around that time or not, but on 6/25 and on, no floors counted

Have you tried restarting your tracker? Hold the left and lower right button for 15 seconds

There is no way to push any buttons on the Blaze when it's in the charger.

I just figured out how to restart it so hopefully that will help. It just stinks that it didn't track anything I did yesterday. 😢
