I live in Australia and there is still no update for my blaze? Are people still waiting or is there something wrong? Thanks

Your location has nothing to do with not receiving the update, it is very possible the the guy down the street got theirs alresdy..
Out of the five people i know that have a Blaze and live in my state, only two have received my neighbor and i, but her husband hasn't.

I live in Washington DC and still no update so I don't think its geography driving it.

We know it's not geography driving it. Fitbit have stated it on multiple occasions across multiple threads for multiple updates 🙂
Still haven't got mine either... 😉

No -- it is not very possible -- highly unlikely -- if only 5% have gotten the roll out. only 1 in 20 blaze customers after 3 days -- how likely is it that someone down the street has gotten it -- small -- not very likely.

VERY SAD to be one of misfortune 95% Blaze users.
The more desperate feeling is that our future is still in the darkness of uncertainty.

I find it interesting that people are still using the "only 5% of the users have received the option to have the new firmware", this statement came from.a user and not fitbit. In any case it was stated 3 days ago about 24 hours after the firmware was released.
So if we think about it, fitbit said it will take a week for everyone to receive the notice of an update avaible. This means 1/7 of the users are added per day. This is day 5 which would mean, if fitbit is on schedule, 5/7ths of the users now would have the option or 80%. The thing is Fitbit never given anll percentage status of this type, this came from an unknowing user.

Fitbit says that it is still rolling out, i find it promising that there are very few comments about having issues with the update process.

1. Fitbit must have pretty puny servers if they are incapable to push a few mb to a few million people (if there are so many). So this excuse won't work for me, sorry.
2. Reading here in their marvelous press release I understand that the update is pushed, works flawlessly and people are happy. The reality is that no one got the complete update (with functional faces and all) and the few that received "an update", received a broken one.
3. **ahem**, fitbit got trigger happy with press releases before finishing the job.
4. Are you for real guys ? I chose not to buy Garmin or Apple Watch just for the assurance that everything is smooth with fitbit and it gets regular updates, and guess what, I was wrong !
So why don't you just cut the bull and tell us what really happens ?

@ebarna to answer your question let's go back to the main thread about the update where @AndrewFitbit has been posting updates.. Let's at this one.
@SanFit I'm sure Fitbit is and has been getting ready for the season, but as you state. That would be their marketing department not what the developing department and their engineers are responsible for.

@Rich_Laue So we've been lied all along by fitbit, they released an unfinished update just to meet the schedule and publish the press release, then they stalled the update indefinitely. This sounds like poor development and no respect to customers. I will return my watch asap and get a fitness tracker that is being supported by developers. Too bad I already recommanded fitbit to my colleagues.
Thanks for pointing me to the AndrewFitbit's post.

The problem is that the marketing team are shooting their mouths off without actually finding out if the engineers can actually deliver on their promises.
Business as normal in the tech world then. 🙂
