I love my Blaze. My girlfriend bought it for me after my Charge 2 was damaged. I wear a Fitbit tracker to track my steps for my work wellness program. I need to track these steps to get a better insurance rate the following year. The problem is that the Blaze will, on occasion, stop syncing. I don't notice it because I don't use the app much. It should be syncing, and does most of the time, but on occasion it stops. How do I notice it you ask. It happens when my battery suddenly dies after being fully charged earlier in the day. Yesterday was a prime example, I had it charging in the morning while I was getting ready for work, wore it to work and during a short workout. Went to play my soccer game, checked the time and it showed my battery with one red line and it shut down a few minutes later. After my game, which I lost a lot of steps towards my health insurance, I charged it overnight and today I see that the time is wrong. I've tried syncing and it won't sync. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips; shutting down, restarting, bluetooth on/off, removing the app, unpairing/repairing, etc and nothing is working. Now I have a smart watch fitness tracker that shows me the wrong time and won't sync my steps. Yay! I've noticed that the watch battery has suddenly died three times in the last few months. I also didn't receive an email that the battery was low either, I guess because it was syncing. It would be a great idea if Fitbit sent an email if the tracker stopped syncing.

Just an update, after trying to sync this thing for the last hour it has finally synced. It still doesn't solve the problem of it randomly not syncing at times and the battery suddenly dying. While trying to sync, there was a time when it wasn't even finding the device. Because I was annoyed and tired of uninstalling/ reinstalling the app, rebooting my phone and tracker, all I was doing was turning the bluetooth off, waiting a minute or so and turning back on. I did this about a dozen times. The first half dozen times, the tracker appeared in the bluetooth scan as Blaze but would not pair or even attempt to pair. Then, for the next 4-5 tries, it couldn't be found at all. On the final try, it appeared on my bluetooth scan as Blaze Classic and was able to pair. What is going on? I'm losing chunks of data because of this syncing/battery dying issue. Heck, I lost about 10,000 steps last night because the battery had died even though it was charged earlier in the morning.

Welcome to the dying Blaze. Mine is *just* over 1 year old (13 months) and it doesn't even last 8hrs. That's with all the syncing off and the display set to low. This seems to be a VERY common problem (notice how they don't sell the Blaze anymore?). They may offer to send you a new one, which will then last about 1 year.
