I have wondered if the issues that most people are being faced with as to syncing there watches with a Samsung or any phone for that matter, is more to do with the settings on that phone. For example most phones to day have a battery saver on them that will put certain apps to sleep! ie your Fitbit app! Which in turn could result in most syncing issues with your watch including Bluetooth. "Just a thought" as I did seem to have some syncing issues myself. Maybe check your maintaince app on your phone then go to the battery setting and check that it isn't putting your Fitbit app to "sleep?" I am no techie but I did work out early on that my phone was putting my Fitbit app to sleep there for slowing down the connection to my watch and the only way to connect back up again was to awaken the Fitbit app by opening it up again.
Hope this helps.
