Tracker miles not adding up

I started with 6.3 miles on my Blaze. Started my exercise tracker (GPS) and walked 7.3 miles. Blaze synced with my tracker and instead of the correct 13.6 miles, my blaze and dashboard showed only 11.9 miles. What gives?

Hi there @cajohn. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

When tracking a walk, a run or a hike, it's better if you do it logging it as a run/walk/hike from both your phone and your tracker using MobileRun. What this will do is that it will rely on the GPS information to determine distance and the other stats as steps, calories burned, etc. will come from your tracker. For more information on how this works, you can take a look at this post from @EmersonFitbit.

Let me know if you need more help with this!

@FerdinandFitbit if this is the case, then what is the purpose of having connected GPS on the Blaze?

I noticed that if i start GPS tracking on the Blaze and on the app i get 2 listings with two maps for the event. If i also am using the Surge and its GPS i get a third listing. W8th a third map.I also find the steps during this period are not tripled.
