Is there any way to turn off the new sleep stages?
I like the idea of seeing the time I spent in each of the stages, but this new method is recording me as asleep for far longer than I actually am. At least with the old system, setting to "sensitive" gave me a more realistic approximation for overall time asleep.
My goal is 6 hours, which is rare for me to get, and with the sleep stages, I'm now getting over 7 hours easily ... would be nice, but it's not true 😞

Hi Colin. Yes I still want to use the sleep tracking feature, I just prefer the original graph display (Asleep, Restless and Awake). I'm not a fan of the new sleep stages graph (Awake, REM, Light, Deep).

@LilZee05 @_Josh_ Thanks for getting back to me, now I understand your issue like many others.
I'm trying to understand the HRV part of the new calculations and for me it is indicative of my sleep and awake cycles. Bathroom breaks are accurate, even my toss and turn periods getting back to sleep.

Thank you. So much more helpful than the Fitbit people. My sleep tracker is saying I'm away for at least an hour every night which is not true. The old system was much more accurate

Mine says I have no stages. Where are you guys seeing these graphs? I can find them anywhere in the app.

I have atrial fibrillation (afib) and my heart rate varies greatly. It can't be used to determine sleep stages. Fortunately, the Fitbit usually just doesn't use sleep stages. It would be really nice if the next version of software allowed for a choice. With the afib, sleep stages shows me awake a good deal of the night based on my heart rate. I'm not awake during those times.
