Turning Quick View off not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

First post, so be kind if this has been solved somewhere already please!

I have a FitBit Blaze and have turned the Quick View off but whenever I move my wrist, it still lights up. Is this normal and if it is, is there anyway to turn this off completely so I have to press a button to light the screen?

Thanks!

Are you sure it's switched off is about all I can think to ask. It still sounds very 'On' to me as you've perhaps guessed.

Hello @TRF1986 no it is not normal, my question is, how are you turning it off. Through the app then syncing,  or the settings screen on the Blaze?

Yep it is defintiely turned off, I've 100% checked that.

I originally turned it off on the actual Blaze but when i've gone on to the app and online, it is also saying off there too, so i'm confused!

@TRF1986 You have to make sure your Blaze syncs after a setting has been changed. I would check in your app or on the device settings page to see when the last time your Blaze synced.

If you haven't synced in a while, then sync your Blaze.

I simply go into the settings screen on my Blaze tracker, tap the line tyat says Quickview,  no app or phone needed.

I sync my watch every day so it can't be this

Hi there @TRF1986. Good to see you around!

It seems that all the suggestions above don't work and are what should get the Quick View option off. In that case, I can suggest getting in touch with the Support Team for them to take a deeper look and help you out with this.

This has been an issue for me too mainly at night. Did you get it resolved with support?

Good to see you around @imanilea!

I'd just like to make sure that you've gone into the Fitbit app, then tapped on the tracker icon at the top, and then, you turned quick view to off. Is that correct?

If that doesn't work, you can try to restart your tracker and sync it then to the app to see if there's any change. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

When you use the app to turn Quickview off, please wait for the scheduled sync to transfer your new setting to the tracker.

If i need quickview of, on the Blaze  i swipe over to the sertings.,  tap, then scroll down to quickview,  now with a tap i turn it off. No app required.

This happens to me as well, but only at night.  QuickView is OFF when I view the settings.  I have restarted my Blaze.  But at night the screen turns on when I roll over in bed and blasts me with the light.  The screen never turns on this way during the day.  Why would this be different?

Good to see you in the Forums @monicamcj! 🙂

Could it be that the buttons press against your wrist when you roll over or turn around and this causes the display to turn on?

I could probably recommend wearing the Blaze a little higher on your wrist to see if this prevents it from happening (if that was the case) and see if that makes any difference.

@monicamcj it is not quick view turning on the display. It could be that the touch screen detected a touch, i doubt the button was pressed.
