My caller id reads unknown for every caller. I have tried resetting and everything. What do i do?

This should be a setting in the fitbit app, phone, or the phone app, since the tracker only displays what is being sent to it.

Would it be possible to know what type of phone and if your using a third party dialer app and which one it is? On android there is also a phone setting tyat might need to be changed.

Hi there @Thayes @anthonybrown. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

To add to what @Rich_Laue suggested, I can also suggest setting up your tracker as a new device and see if this helps. For this, go to the Account section at the bottom right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and you can check if the ID now shows the names of the people who call you.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for getting back @anthonybrown!

There's something else you can try. Go to your phone's settings. Go to the bluetooth settings and here, in your connected devices, you should see the Blaze. Once you're there, tap on it, and you should have an option that says "Forget this device". Hit that option and your Blaze will be removed.

After that, go into the Fitbit app, tap on the icon for your tracker at the top of the screen which will take you to the tracker settings. Here, scroll down and look for Notifications and enable them again and see if this makes any difference.

Let us know how it goes!

Welcome to the Community @txwrkmom and thanks for getting back @Thayes!

I'd like to know, does this happen with all the people you call even if you have their contact saved to your phone or is it with numbers you have not saved to your contacts?

There might be a setting on your phone where you can enable it to show who's calling which should reflect on the notification on your tracker.

Thanks for getting back @txwrkmom! Just to make sure, have you tried by any chance to set your tracker as a new device? If not, you can try that based on the instructions I gave above.

Other than that, I'd say this will be up to the settings on your phone as your Blaze is a reflection of it. Whatever notification comes to your phone should be replicated on the Blaze. On your phone, are you able to see also "Unknown caller" notification or does it show there who's calling you?

@anthonybrown Thanks for sharing that. The Blaze classic when connected to the bluetooth is for it to connect to the music on your phone mainly with Android devices.
