I find the Fitbit records me taking steps and burning calories while sitting in a chair.  Yesterday, even with a bad back and being immobile, it record over 6000 steps.  Can it really be trusted?

A warm welcome to the Forums @Alex42When working at a desk, cooking, or doing other arm movements, your tracker can pick up some extra steps if it thinks you're walking. Many of these situations such as working or cooking do include a few steps in between stationary periods so the tracker tries to give you credit for those steps. If you think that the amount of steps counted is being to much, I recommend getting in touch directly with our support team, since they have the proper tools to see the information that your Blaze is registering. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.
