Phone updating now to:

VERSION 8.301.4

This release includes the following new features:

  • In addition to call, text, and calendar event notifications, you can receive notifications from email and other third-party apps on your tracker. Common emojis also appear. Keep in mind all notifications currently on your tracker will be deleted after the update. For more information, see How do I get notifications from my mobile device?
  • You can receive reminders to move throughout the day. For more information, see What is a reminder to move?
  • Several new clock faces are available. For step-by-step instructions on changing your clock face, see About Fitbit Blaze.

This release also resolves the following issue:

  • Some customers reported that auto-brightness was too dim or delayed. This issue is resolved.

Keep in mind you must now sync your tracker after shut down to see the correct time. In other words, if your tracker runs out of battery or if you manually shut it down, you must sync it after it turning it on to see the current time.

This release will be available in September 2016.

Thinking about getting a Blaze. Any reviews on how this latest update performs?

I ran into an issue while updating the clock faces to try them out. When I go into the app all of the Blaze clock faces are missing. Any suggestions?

Hi @mroush - Stand by. There is an issue related to the watch faces not being there after the update. Fitbit is looking into this as we speak.

hey how do you go about prompting it to update? Mine is not notifying me 😞

Hello, I had the same issue.  To resolve I had to "Remove this Blaze" from my iPhone, delete the App, re install and then re sync the Blaze.  All the old settings and and steps for the day are still there (without the update, basically takes it back to what it was). Oh, also i did this while the Blaze was in the charging gradle, hope that helps for now, I guess Fitbit are working on resolving this issue so have withdrawn the upgrade for now.

No new clock faces. Apparently there's an issue to make be rolled out later. I got the info from other postings

@armueller2001 and @SunsetRunner you don't prompt the app to release the update, the app will prompt you when the update has been released to you. It's called a rolling release? Ria means that everyday it gets rolled out to more users.

Why can everyone be able to get the update but I can't

@SunsetRunner, There was an issue with the release and they pulled it.  Some people reported that it turned the Blaze into a brick (ie. killed it), others had it in a continuous loop.  There were also issues with the new clock faces.  Hopefully they'll have a good version out this week.
