So you've developed a completely new device but still don't support CallerID,Text Messaging or Calendar updates on Windows Phone?

@TheAcornWarrior Not until Microsoft adds the necessary GATT server to the OS. (Same thing as for the notifications.)

@TheAcornWarrior Shoutout to @Michael@SunsetRunner for the answer. He's right, the Microsoft Windows platform does not provide a GATT server. Fitbit leverages this technology to provide the Connected GPS Feature on Blaze. Microsoft and Fitbit are working together to bring a solution to our shared customers.

@DSch As @Julia_G mentioned, I recommend checking out this post from my guy @RickyFitbit who explains what you should try and gives more details on an update.
@KRG0205 Make sure that you've paired your Blaze to your account with the steps listed here. That should help to get you all up and running.

For those who have the Blaze and Win 8.1 phone. I've had the Blaze for a few days now and this is what I've experienced so far, along with some trial and error. I've got the Lumia 1020 running 8.1 and like several others I don't need a new phone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So here is what I've done so far to get my Blaze to work with Win 8.1. I used my wife's phone, GS6, to add the Blaze to my Fitbit account (my Fitbit bluetooth should be here today, thank you Fitbit!). My Lumia 1020's bluetooth automatically detected the Blaze and I can connect to it. Even though the Blaze is not listed in the Fitbit app for Win 8.1, I'm still able to sync it to the Fitbit app. Also the Fitbit app on my phone will still track me even though I haven't sync'd it to the Blaze. Since the Blaze uses connected GPS through the phone there shouldn't be any difference if the Blaze is connected or not. The app is still tracking me and it syncs with my Fitbit account from my Win 8.1 phone. I hope this helps and gives other Win 8.1 users some hope until a fix or update comes out.
@ErickFitbit - I've been able to manually sync my Blaze successfully through the settings in the current Win 8.1 Fitbit app and all appears to be working fine and it's been keeping my online Fitbit account up to date with my Blaze through my Lumia 1020. Even though the Blaze isn't listed in the Fitbit app on my phone, everything appears to be working ok so far. I thought this might help some others or at least give them something to try so they can use their Blaze on Win Phone 8.1 for now?

Fitbit really need to improve their documentaion and 'how to' guides for their products, and state clearly when there are functions that wont work on certain types of phones. Saying it' Microsoft's fault doesn't excuse them from advising an incompatability or things that wont work on THEIR products.
It took me over 2 hours just to set up my new Fitbit blaze yesterday on my computer, phone and the watch itself after following all the instuctions to the letter, reading this forum, and trying to see what I was doing wrong. It just suddenly started connecting and working by itself, I still dont have any idea what I did to get it working.

I'm not sure how clearer their documentation can be, as you state the documentation shows that currently the windows phone wont send notafacations.
This has to do with the Windows phone OS not supporting the GATT server.
As reported in these forums, Microsoft hsd said that they will add GATT service in early 2017 to all win10 phones.

You will need to ask Microsoft @Alfora, as stated above it is completly out of Fitbits hands until Microsoft fixes their lack of wanting to go with the accepted comunication standard of the day. They have said they are going to fix this, so we and Fitbit will have to wait and see.

@Alfora , it depends on what issue you are referrng to. If your problem is no phone / text notifications, then as @Rich_Laue says, that is a Microsoft issue, not Fitbit. However if your issue is not syncing with Windows Phones running version 8.1, then unfortunately Fitbit has announced that, moving forward, the Blaze will not work with anything but the latest version of Windows Phone OS -- Windows Phone 10 -- which is currently not the operating system used on most Windows phones worldwide. Sorry not to have better news for you.

Hi Pelle,
@TristanFitbit answered this in another thread https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Windows-10-App/Surge-and-Windows-Phone/m-p/1438962#M6183
Apparently that API is not for GATT Server, but GATT Client, not what is needed. So we still wait.
I've not seen any mention of GATT Server from Microsoft sides for a long time, so it does not seem to be in, for the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary update at least.

there are a lot of people that use windows, they should really make every fitbit function work on their phone, so very annoying, will be getting a new phone, not windows soon. Seriously!
