my fitbit blaze keeps putting my phone into driver mode in messenger. I have a google pixel.  I have turned it off in my settings and the auto reply has been turned off. but it will just go back on after an hour. There has to be a way to turn this off permanently.  Also my blaze does not get any notifications, it is on in the app and on the watch.

Does your Blaze show up in the phones BT as being connected? 

As for the Blaze. For notifications it is stroller one way, phone > tracker. 

The Blaze will not change the phone into driver mode. 

The app might do this but I don't think it asks for permission.
