Rec'd for Christmas 2021. Second time I had an impressive glitch with a huge amount of steps in one second. First time in March (30,000+) and today over 49,000 steps. Rest of the time works just fine so just curious if a known cause for this. Thanks.

Hi, it's good to see you around in the Fitbit Community forums, @Y0landa. 

I'm sorry to see that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your Charge 5. This is not an expected behavior for the device. 

If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you've tried the restart using the three pulse method  with the charging cable:  

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Let me know if you experience this problem again after the restart.
