This is my 3rd Fitbit Charge 5 I've had in the past 2 1/2 years. First it stops working to light up on the twist of my arm. Then it stopped accurately recording my sleep patterns. Then yesterday, the screen went black. Won't charge, won't light up on a double tap. When I bought this 3rd one in February of this year, I bought it on Amazon. I called Fitbit customer service to check to see if there was a protection plan. I told them I bought it on Amazon. They asked what party sold the Amazon, I gave them the name. They said the protection plan would cover my Fitbit. So I bought a 2-year protection plan through Fitbit. Now, today, when I called to make a claim with my new Fitbit, they said the warranty does not cover the Fitbit I bought on Amazon. I'm done with this company.

If you bought it from Amazon and it’s still under warranty, then it is fully covered.
“These Limited Product Warranties apply only to the original purchaser of the Product that was purchased from an authorized reseller or sales channel and manufactured by or for Fitbit that can be identified by an authorized “Fitbit” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to it.”

I would contact Amazon chat and get a full refund.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I’m wandering if this is related to a software update gone wrong?? I’m hoping that’s what it is and they come up with a fix soon. These watches aren’t cheap.
