Auto recognise walk

What is supposed to happen when you set auto recognise walk on? From what I've read, I assumed it would open the exercise app after 10 minutes and use GPS according to the GPS setting (none, dynamic or watch).

 

What actually happens is that I see nothing during the walk. After the walk is over the app shows the walk but there is no map and no distance recorded.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Keith555!

If you're using automatic recognition for an exercise, GPS won't be used. As such you're not getting a map in your Fitbit app, but you'll see your Exercise if you tap on the exercise tile in the Fitbit app.

If you want GPS tracking, you'll have to start tracking an exercise manually. For more information please have a look here:
