I have not seen this exact problem on the forum.
The autorecognize exercise feature works intermittently. I attend a water aerobics class on weekdays. The exercises are the same every day. Some times it will record a different exercise -- which I really don't care about as long as it is recording exercise. HOWEVER, some days it does not record exercise at all! Other days it registers as expected. It does record Zone minutes so I believe that the exertion should be high enough to recognize exercise. I have autorecognize for multiple exercises as 10 minutes. Elsewhere in the community forum it says minimum 15 minutes but manual says 10 minutes -- which is it? Not that it matters much the class is an hour so it should still register as exercise.
In addition, it does not seem to autorecognize outdoor biking.
I have tried all of the trouble shooting that I have seen in the forum -- 3 push restart from the charger, restarting the device from Charge 5, logging out of the app, removing the Charge 5 from the app and setting up all over again. I contacted Customer Support and worked through all of these things again. They sent a replacement as the Charge 5 was only 1 month old. I am having the SAME PROBLEM with the replacement.
Previous to this experience, I had a Charge 5 for a year and it autorecognized exercise consistently. I had to replace it because it would not hold a charge.
II am guessing that my next course of action would be that I have to just remember to manually start any exercise on the Charge 5. Just frustrating that it works intermittently.
Any help, suggestions, or validations would be appreciated.
