Battery Drain and Other Functions Not Working Properly Charge 5

Yesterday was the first day I used my new Charge 5. It was 100% charged.  This morning I woke up and the battery was drained.  I put it on the kitchen counter to charge.  After it was finished charging, it showed that I had 1,588 steps. That is impossible since it was on the kitchen counter all morning.  I did a pulse restart, and that didn't seem to change anything, so I called support.  They were no help at all.  I have also noticed since installing the app on my phone, it is draining my phone battery as well.  I am disappointed and feeling like I just wasted my money.  Anyone else having these issues?

I appreciate all the information that you've shared about the inconvenience you've been having with your Charge 5 and for confirming that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps. 

I've been informed that you've contacted the Customer Support team again for further assistance with this and it seems they sent you some instructions. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.
