Battery not charging after app update

Downloaded app update 3.77 two days ago after which I have not been able to recharge my Charge 5 fitbit. I have tried all corrective suggestions with no success. The battery charging screen still pulsates when connected to the charger but no battery gain. The 3 button salute worked once but no longer shows. Any ideas?

Mine died so I put it on charger. It vibrated but several hours later I still had no charge.. trying again, but nothing yet!?  WTF it's only months old!

Thanks for your posting. My Charge 5 is about 15 months old and my suspicion is that the problem is related to the app update but recognise that this may be just coincidence. The battery is now fully discharged and I guess no longer recoverable. Having accumulated 20,000 km in steps I am reluctant to cut the tie but sadly I have decided to buy another brand
