Helllo all,
I have a charge 5 which I have loved, but I am now stuck at a blank,black screen. I have tried resetting already. I did not work.

Thank you for sharing that you've having this inconvenience with your Charge 5 device and that you already tried the restart procedure.
In this case, if you already tried to complete the 3 pulse restart procedure and you continue to experience the same problem, please try these additional steps that have been useful for other users:

My 5 is totally unresponsive to anything suggested in the fix. The only sign of life is a single red led on the back of the watch. I cannot get it to pair or be found by Bluetooth. It’s not that old, it was chosen as a replacement for the ionic return campaign.

My screen want black yesterday, September 2, 2022. It is recording my activity. I tried the reset, but with no fitbit logo or anything else on the screen. It did vibrate a few times. What's going on that all of us experienced the same thing within 24 hours?!?

Add another one to the list. I did the button reset on Friday and it worked. Screen went blank again on Saturday and cannot get it to reset again. You know just after the warranty expires. 🙄

I did all of these things and still nothing but black screen. My charge is 100% according to the app. I am currently syncing. It is counting my activity. Just a black screen.

I bought my charge 5 in early June because one of the selling points was related to the "long" battery life. I was immediately disappointed since after 1 day of use I got the low battery level warning. I continued to use it with no other discernible problems until August 28 when the screen went blank. I then checked the forum and to my surprise there are several other users with the same or similar problem. I have since trie all of the suggested fixes but none of them have restored the functionality of the smart watch. It appears as though the problem is the faulty battery ( mine is showing a battery that appears to be broken) and no amount of pressing the button on the power chord three times will fix that problem. These all need to be recalled and full refunds given to eligible owners.
By the way I had a charge 3 which also went blank after 6 months and the original device where the battery discharges rapidly.

I have the same problem. I have tried the three pulse restart. Nothing. When I attach the charger, nothing. I have cleaned the charger pins and the back of the charge 5. It's not even 10 months old.

Mine is not quite 10 months old. It replaced an Alta HR. Now it's unresponsive to all suggestions listed here too.

I have similar issue as other's: I have a fibit charge 5 for almost a year now. Today its screen went black and it seems completely dead. It does not charge anymore. I have already cleaned up the pins and tried pressing the reset button 3 times. Nothing helps. It seems the battery is faulty and won't charge anymore. Please advise.

Contact customer service and answer their questions, plus take pictures of what they ask for. Takes about 30 minutes, to get a prepaid return label. I'm sending mine back for a replacement.

Thanks for the link to the video. I tried it. I got the vibration and the logo on for a second, but then back to black screen.

Not sure who you're asking, but mine won't reset so I'm sending it back for a replacement.

Had the same issue. Tried all the trouble shooting. Contacted Customer Support via Live Chat this morning. Mine was still under warranty and is being replaced

To everyone who is having this problem. I followed the steps suggested by the Fitbit Monitor above. Then I went to Support on the website, entered a chat, described the problem. He told me to do everything I had already done. It was still under warranty. They are sending me a new one. I suggest everyone who is having this problem do the exact same thing. Best wishes all.
