Black screen, nothing works

This is the second time this happened in a year. It will sync, restart when cord pressed 3x’s (can feel the haptics) but screen is still blank. All firmware and app up to date. Changing clock face did nothing. What else is there?

Same thing happened to me aswell and I can feel the vibration but screen is black. Furthermore I delete device from my mobile, now when i want to connect I cant even see the code lol. Was given as a gift to me less than a year ago, now I dunno what to do. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Sadly, it appears the Charge 5 is meant to be disposable. I bought my first one in November 2021. By April 2022, 5 months later, the screen had frozen up black, and it would not respond or reset. I contacted support and they had me video it to show it was not working, and they sent me a replacement.

 

Now in November, 7 months later, my replacement has gone dead as well. Exact same symptoms. Black screen, won’t charge, won’t respond. 

I contacted support and was told I was out of warranty and they offered me a 35% discount on a new purchase. I responded that I had only received this replacement in April, how could it be out of warranty? Everyone should be aware that the response was that replacement items do NOT have their own warranty. Only your original warranty will ever apply from the original date of purchase. So if they replace it at 11 months you will only have 1 month of warranty on the new replacement.

 

So basically the Charge 5 has an average lifespan of 4-7 months. Thanks but no thanks. It was nice while it lasted (which wasn’t that long) but I’m going to have to seek out a new brand of tracker.
