Charge 5 stopped working altogether

My charge 5 stopped working just over a week ago, had it less than 2 years. Battery drains really quickly, logo keeps flashing on and off, keeps displaying incorrect time. I've tried everything. I've restarted it, charged it fully, uninstalled app and reinstalled. I've reported problem 5 days ago but no response. Seems to be lots of people experiencing same issues. Surely someone at Fitbit is taking note of this? I really don't want to have to buy another one, lost all confidence in fitbit. This just happened overnight.

Hi, @ROBINSONKL , I am so sorry to hear that your Fitbit has stopped working!  I have been wearing one myself for more than 10 years, so I know that can be a real wrench! 

It sounds like you have tried all the usual trouble shooting steps without result.  In a few jurisdictions (mainly Europe, and, I think, Australia) Fitbits are required by law to provide a 2 year guarantee.  However, in the USA and most other places the guarantee is only for one year, so depending on where you are you may not be eligible for a replacement if your purchase was more than one year ago.

You can get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com to confirm.  Even if you are not eligible for a replacement under guarantee, if you decide you would like to upgrade to a newer device, Customer Support is often able to offer loyal customers a discount on a new device, so it is definitely worth checking with them.

Lots of Charge 5 users are reporting the same issue all of a sudden after the last update. Fitbit are silent on it even though we are all complaining about it here they just keep posting the same generic battery life extending tips while ignoring there’s a major issue on their end!
