It seems like Fitbit Charge 5 is highly problematic. From the original 3 issues above that the administrator did not even bother to respond to, there are new issues that came up for me :
4. Heart rate read is highly inaccurate now, lower by about 25 beats per minute. An intense work out would only record 125 beats vs 150 beats per minute before.
5. Recording of exercise is inconsistent. A boosted walking exercise have been considered as moderate activity despite rapid heart rate. While normal walks with below heart zone HR have been recorded as valid exercise.
6. Recorded sleeping time when i was fully awake and into an activity.. and also when i was not even wearing the watch! Or recorded sleeping time much earlier than when i placed it on sleep mode.
7. My left wrist where strap locks has two areas with wound. I have cleaned and disinfected the straps to avoid this but it recurred. It gets worse with sweat. Makes me wonder what kind of matetial was used for the straps. I did not have this issue with my Charge 3 model.
8. The hourly exercise alert does not consistently notify.
I have been resetting the watch daily. And this is not a good sign. It was also good that I have not upgraded the software which seems to have given others even worse issues.
And the worst part for me is the lack of customer support. I was asked by the store where i got the unit to ask help from this community. And all i have gotten after 4 attempts is a cold treatment.
