@Amylouise6218   I did a little searching.  I found an old thread from 2014 that mentions this setting.  Fitbits were much simpler devices, a time before any Fitbit measured heart rate.  I'm very sure that this setting was removed as Fitbit evolved, because it is definitely gone.  When the Premium feature was on the web, Premium users got their activity calories broken out from daily total calories.  That disappeared when Premium was moved to the mobile app.  There is no current way to see activity calories separate from resting calories on the mobile app.  There is a Feature Suggestion asking for this.  Please vote and leave a comment.  In the meantime, Fitbit uses the Mifflin St Jeor equation to estimate your BMR calories.  You can find calculators online.  Just plug in your personal information and voilà.  Then do the math.  You only need to recalculate it with a significant weight change.  For now, it's our only option.  I think many more users want this feature than have voted for it.

Hello @Amylouise6218 and welcome to the Community.  As a long time user, I think the only way to turn off the calorie estimation, is to remove that icon from your mobile dashboard.  You wrote that you think the calorie estimation needs to be fixed.  What do you think needs fixing?

No sorry I wrote that the calorie estimation can be disabled. It says on Google, go to settings then preferences and turn off calorie estimation? But I can't find this anywhere. I want to just see the calories I have burnt not the ones I'm estimated to burn.
