Hi, it's good to see you participating in the community forums for the first time, @Kikirose59.

I appreciate all the information that you've provided about the difficulty you're experiencing with your Charge 5.

If you haven't done so already, please try the following steps that have been useful for other users:

  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on.
  • Open the Fitbit app and sync again

In addition, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

If you're still having any issues, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

There is no button on the 5 charger. Mine had not synced for over 12 hours.

Hi @Muttnutt ,

There's a small, flat inset button on the USB side of the charging cable that came with your Charge 5. See the highlighted area in the picture below:

@Muttnutt Thanks for your inquiry regarding the charging cable and the restart.

Let me know if you were able to complete the restart as shown on the picture @RiekoC mentioned earlier.

I deleted and reinstalled the app. This also solved the problem of the food
lists being so old and long. It would also be nice if the food lists were
alphabetical. I also deleted old food logs before I did this.

@Muttnutt Thank you for your reply and for confirming this specific problem was resolved.

Regarding the food lists not being in alphabetical order, I would recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Product Feedback board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers: Update food list features- alphabetize list or reorder food items

This is always helpful for the team to track popularity and demand over time.
