Cannot rename an exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Starting with the update a couple days ago, I can no longer record an exercise as "workout" and then rename it to my custom label after I'm done on my fitbit app. It let's me select what I want, but when I hit save nothing happens so everything just says "workout." Very frustrating and happened as soon as the update went through.

Hi, @Emeryo! I believe it has been gone longer than that.

Hello, here is what happened to me:

Once the ability to use the original browser was eliminated, at that point, I could then go into the fitbit app on my phone and edit the exercise after my workout was completed. I was unable to do this from my phone app until this point for some reason and had to do it from the browser.

With the newest update, now I can no longer change edit the exercise name even in my fitbit app on the phone. This is definitely a new issue and one that started immediately with the update. It is very frustrating as there is no way to get to my custom workouts.

Has anyone experienced this? It is frustrating b/c I use it to compare apples to apples if you will among my workouts. Thanks!

Hello @Emeryo

I recall there was a partial fix rolled out to edit a completed workout, including being able to rename it. I'm now starting to see other users reporting that they can't edit the name or timing of their workouts.

I'm going to see about escalating this to the team. If I learn of any updates, I'll report back.

Thank you so much for escalating this matter! It really is frustrating as my boyfriend was just going to get a Fitbit and now is holding off.

Hello @Emeryo

The issue was escalated to the team and a ticket opened to track it.

Unfortunately, we don't have any idea of a timeline to get this fixed. Sometimes, one of the Moderators will use a thread to track updates. If I see this, I'll report back and let you know so you bookmark it and get the updates.
