Charge 5 30-second ecg setup not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I tap the Fitbit 30-second ecg monitor, it says to set up on the phone:"To get started, open the Fitbit mobile app." I have the app open already, but I touch "Open" anyway. Next screen is "Check your phone to continue." Nothing happens. I go to "Heart rate" under Settings. "Irregular rhythm notifications are on" under Settings. Then I go to You, "Health assessments," where it says "Irregular rhythm notifications on and checking."

The phone is connected to the Fitbit. I can tell because the phone is mirroring data such as steps taken.

It's an Android phone, Galaxy A14.

I cleared the cache on the phone and on the Fitbit. I uninstalled the Fitbit app, then re-installed. No change.

How do I get this 30-second ecg feature working?

TIA. JV

Hello @jverner and welcome to the Community.  The steps you listed don't sound like the steps listed in the ECG app Help article.  There are steps to set up the feature, before trying to use it.  Please tap on the You icon in the bottom left of your Fitbit app, look for ECG tile in the Health Assessments section and tap on Set Up.  Follow the directions.

The ECG app is different from the Irregular Rhythm Notifications.  The Irregular Rhythm Notifications use the optical heart rate monitor.  The ECG app has hardware that is only available on the Charge 5/6 and the Sense/Sense 2.

If you don't have the ECG tile in your Health Assessments, where are you located?  The ECG app isn't available in all countries.
