I have setup my Charge 5 to auto-detect my run and walk. I had been starting activities manually, but I thought auto-detect would be easier especially when I wear gloves in the winter. It will also help my battery life since when using the GPS, I have to charge my watch every day. The auto-detect works ok, but 10 minutes into my run it starts asking me to confirm that I am running, The watch vibrates every 30 seconds or so asking me to confirm. It seems to do this for 30 minutes. How do it I just let it auto-detect without asking me to confirm the activity? Note that walking works fine; it does not ask me to confirm my activity.

I found that If I set run as one of the auto recognized exercises (in the fitbit app) and I turn off the auto-detect setting for runs (on my fitbit device), my runs get tracked and my fitbit device does not keep asking me to confirm my runs.

I tried changing the GPS setting from dynamic to phone. I do not have my phone with my on my run. On most runs, it still keeps prompting me to confirm that I am running. Today, I think it took 50 minutes or more before it finally stopped asking me to confirm. These vibrations and prompts seem to reduce my fitbit's battery life. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my fitbit to auto-recognize my run, but not asking me to confirm?
